Tormented Teasers

New Planet were commissioned by Pathé to make a series of teasers for the online marketing campaign of the feature film, Tormented.

Tormented is a horror film set in a contemporary English secondary school. The storyline involves the dead victim of a sadistic bullying campaign returning from the dead to take revenge on his guilty classmates.

The teasers had to involve the same themes as Tormented, but not use any of the actual content or characters from the film.

The film received a nationwide release in the UK on May 22nd 2009 and was released on DVD on September 28th 2009. Visit the official website at www.tormentedthemovie.com

City Credit Capital – Corporate Video

Based in the heart of London’s financial sector, City Credit Capital has developed online trading platforms for the ForEx and CFD markets. New Planet Films produced a corporate video introducing the company and its software products.

Filmed at their London offices in Tower 42, the video features an inside look at the workings of CCC as well as impressive views of the city. Time lapse footage of the streets below and the skies above give the video a fast paced feel which reflects the dynamic nature of Europe’s financial capital.

Privacy Laws and Business Annual Conference

Privacy Laws & Business provides an independent privacy laws information service and provides services to help clients comply with both the Data Protection Act and the Freedom of Information Act. New Planet Films were commissioned to produce a series of videos giving an insight into the presentations held at the Privacy Laws & Business 21st Annual International Conference.

The conference is held at St John’s College, Cambridge, and involves a number of expert speakers from a range of countries and backgrounds.

A section of each presentation was used to create a series of short video clips for use on www.privacylaws.com. The clips give visitors a good idea of the content and style of the presentations given at the Conference, helping to promote this event in the UK and abroad.

GSAT – General Security Awareness Training

As of January 2008, the UK National Aviation Security Programme requires that ground staff and supervisors employed on certain aviation security duties should receive training appropriate to those duties.

New Planet Films were tasked with making a half hour training programme which is now available to all BAA airport employees. You can view a sample of the programme on the GSAT Training homepage, www.gsattraining.net.

The video was shot largely at Stansted Airport, with additional studio work and illustrated components. Security scenarios were dramatised using actors and the relevant aspects of the Department for Transport’s syllabus were visualised in a number of ways, including artwork in the style of aircraft cabin safety cards.
